The Department of Electrical Engineering with its strong pool of faculty, well-developed laboratories, latest software and hardware facilities, contributes to develop life-long learning skills to its students. The Electrical Engineering programme is very well equipped with laboratory facilities and constantly upgrading available hardware and software to create conducive teaching-learning and testing environment leading to a great opportunity to learn and progress in different technical domains.
Thrust areas of Electrical Engineering Department are - Power Electronics & Drives, Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Machines, Switchgear & Protection, High Voltage Engineering, Control System & Instrumentation, Electrical Networks and Electrical measurements.

Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to the advancement of science, technology, electronics, telecommunication andinformation technology. Founded in 1953, it serves more than 69,000 members through 59 centers/ sub centers primarily located in India (3 abroad) . The Institution provides leadership in scientific and technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy.Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has recognized AMIETE. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing electro-technology. IETE today, is one of the prominent technical education providers in India and is fast expanding its wings across the country through its 61 Centres. Over the last 59 years, IETE has expanded its educational activities in areas of Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science and Information Technology.

Poster Presentation under Oscillation 2017

Oscillation 2017 was held in our collage on 14th March 2017. Inauguration was done by Mrs. Uttara Gogate,Mrs. Geeta Jairaj Principal of Shivajirao S Jondhle Engg and Technology,Mr. Sandesh Bhadane Vice-Principal of Shivajirao S Jondhle Polytechnic Asangaon. Students presented posters on different projects from emerging trends of electrical and electronics field . Participants were judge by Ms. Shweta Chanchalani HOD of Information Technology of Shivajirao S Jondhle Polytechnic Asangaon.

Seminar on Energy Auditing

The lecture was delivered by Mr. shrinivasand assistant engineer, MSEDCL Shahapur. They give the knowdelge and information about energy conservation technics which are used in our day to day life. By using this technics and information we will conserve the energy and improve the efficiency of electricity.

Seminar on Switchgear and protection

The lecture was delivered by Mr. shrinivasand assistant engineer, MSEDCL Shahapur. They give the knowledge and information about Protective devices, circuit breakers.

Seminar on Design of tree phase induction motor

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Akshay ketkar assistant engineer, siemens ltd,Airoli,Navi Mumbai. They give the knowledge and information about Construction, working of 3phase IM.

Electric locoshed ,kalyan

The Industrial visit was organized at Electric locoshed kalyan for 3rd year Electrical students arrange. Purpose of visit was to give technical knowledge of electric locomotive signalling and protection .

The Industrial visit was arranged for 3rd & 2nd year Electrical students arrange Purpose of visit was to give Practical knowledge of substation transmission and distribution system.

The Industrial visit held for 2nd year Electrical students. Purpose of visit was to give the knowledge about working of the boiler and operation of thermal plant
