With the growing demand for telecommunication worldwide, the department established in the academic year 2007. The curriculum in electronics and telecommunication engineering lays greater emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental principles of analog & digital communication, microwave engineering, electromagnetic field theory, digital signal processing & audio and video communications systems. Special elective subjects like advanced optical communication, VLSI & embedded systems, Broadband communication, Digital Signal Processors enhance the knowledge of students.

Oscillation 2017 was held in our collage on 14th March 2017. Inauguration was done by Mrs. Uttara Gogate,Mrs. Geeta Jairaj Principal of Shivajirao S Jondhle Engg and Technology,Mr. Sandesh Bhadane Vice-Principal of Shivajirao S Jondhle Polytechnic Asangaon. Students presented posters on different projects from emerging trends of electrical and electronics field . Participants were judge by Ms. Shweta Chanchalani HOD of Information Technology of Shivajirao S Jondhle Polytechnic Asangaon.

Faculties from Electronics and Telecommunication department attended a One Week Workshop “On Smart Grid Renewable Integration And MicroGrids”,Organized by Electrical department and complex nonlinear dynamical system (COE-CNDS)VJTI Mumbai.(Under TEQP-II) In co-ordination with centre for development of technical Education IIT Kanpur.

The Institution provides leadership in scientific and technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy.Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has recognized AMIETE. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing electro-technology.

Expert lecture on software debugging was conducted by Mr. Shashikumar,Senior IT Administrator,
AISA Industrial Automation India Pvt. Ltd. In this seminar students got brief information about software debugging and its methods.

Expert lecture on “Solar Energy and IIOT an industrial Prospective” by Mr. Shishir Gupta from L&T Mumbai. Students of second and third year of Eelectronics and telecommunication attended the seminar. During this seminar Students recieved information about benefits of IOT and solar power.
Seminar on "Solar photo voltaic technology"
Expert lecture on Solar photo voltaic technology and renewable energy by Dr. Satvasheel Powar, Assistant professor IIT Mandi was arranged for students of second and third year of Eelectronics and Telecommunication.
Seminar helped students in understanding generation of electricity from solar cell using photovoltaic effect .

Visit to “Krishna Power Valley”
Students visited to Krishana Valley Hydroelectric power plant near Shahapur. During visit students acquired information about small scale Hydroelectric power plants convert the hydraulic potential energy from water into electrical energy The main component of this power station were Dam, Spillway, Penstock & Tunnel, Surge Tank and Power Station.
Visit to “ GTL ", Mahape
Industrial visit to GTL (Global telesystem Limited )was arranged . During this visit Students actually learn about BTS and Antennas .get detailed knowledge about call processing, handoff . And also visited to live site of BTS
