HOD's Message
Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at SSJP Asangaon. Civil Engineering is as old as modern branch of engineering studies. Hence, Civil Engineers are playing a significant role from ancient period to till now. Civil Engineers are not only capable in building structures but also they connect the whole country and beyond the country by implementing an efficient transport system.
They have the responsibility to present the world a green environment for people and other living beings. So, Civil Engineering is not limited to aggregate of bricks, cement and water only; it has five distinct arenas such as Structure, Geotech, Environment, Transportation and Water resources.
In the modern world of construction where we witness every day as a day of a new construction method, material and skill, it is very much important to forward the same to the students by means of latest teaching aids and by providing an equal and proper learning platform.
Students enjoy the regular industrial visits based on their curriculum and scope of the study. Civil Engineering students find a conducive and friendly academic environment here to achieve outcome-based quality education to accomplish their dream as a Civil Engineer. As the Head of the Department, I wish every current and upcoming student a bright future in their respective fields as a Civil Engineer.
The department offers a full time diploma course in civil engineering. Department was established in 2010.Department has well equipped laboratories with the most modern equipment and test facilities. The department has well experienced faculties. Apart from conducting academic programs, additional computer courses, seminars, workshops, training and industrial visits are conducted for the students as well as the faculties. Faculties are also involved in exam related work of MSBTE.
